Fairway Bays started with two brothers, a hometown, and a question that didn't have a good answer.

Stephen and Zach Courson grew up in Gainesville, but they found golf on different paths. Zach picked it up in high school, grinding rounds at the old West End Golf Course. Stephen came to it later, after college, when a career in sales and consulting sent him to conferences where the real business always seemed to happen somewhere between the first tee and the 18th green. Different starts, same result: the game got its hooks in both of them.

Then came 2025. Stephen set a goal to get serious about his game and immediately hit a wall. The nearest course or driving range was a 30-minute drive away. He kept circling one question: how could a city the size of Gainesville be so short on places to play?

He wasn't imagining it. Courses had been closing for years, including Meadowbrook and West End, the places where locals built friendships and family memories. For two brothers who loved the game, that didn't sit right. So they did something about it.

They could have opened a generic simulator franchise: a room, a screen, swing and leave. That's not what this is. Fairway Bays was built around one idea: connection. To the game. To each other. To Gainesville's business community.

That's why they created the F19 Society, named for the 19th hole, where the round ends and the real conversations begin. It's networking built around golf, for people who know the best deals happen after the 18th. It's why members bring up to four guests free, every visit. And it's why the calendar stays full of tournaments, themed nights, and events the whole family can enjoy.
